Our caravan courses are ran on a 1:1 Basis or 1:2 if you would like to share time behind the wheel with a friend or partner. We recommend the 8 hour day for the 2:1 caravan course so both customers get plenty of time practicing caravan reversing and caravan towing on the road.

Our caravan courses can be tailored to suit your needs but are similar to a caravan and camping club course but it’s just yourself or you and your friend on your caravan course with the instructor. If time is needed for the practicing reversing a caravan then the time will be spent on that aspect, or if you would like more time on the road learning to tow a caravan then that can be done – the day will be used to make you feel more confident on the aspects you feel need work, so you can leave feeling happier towing a caravan.

You may be thinking do I really need to take a Caravan course ? Towing a Caravan for most people will be very different and new to anything they have experienced on the road before. A caravan course can give you the confidence to get you towing a caravan on the road and be able to reverse a caravan confidently and safely. Towing a caravan can be dangerous without the correct training and knowledge the extra length, width, height and weight will make a massive difference. When towing a caravan one small mistake will be greatly exaggerated.

Caravan courses also offer sessions for people that may be experienced at towing a caravan on the road but have never mastered the art of reversing a caravan, we can teach you the skills you need to be able to set up and execute safe tidy caravan reversing.

 Your Instructor has been in the driver trainer industry since 2003 and is a fully qualified car driving instructor and has been conducting trailer training and tuition for the now obsolete DVSA trailer test since 2010, during this period delivering 100s of caravan tuition courses along with other Trailer tuition. Before you leave your caravan course day you will have learnt how to reverse with a caravan, hitch and un-hitch a caravan and drive on the road with a caravan on many different types of roads and junctions The aim of a caravan course training day is to insure you can reverse a caravan safely, not have a caravan ever rollaway from you, and safely tow a caravan on the road.
